History

Albert Pritchard Infant School opened in 1938 in Wednesbury, named after the late, Sir Albert Pritchard.

The Hadow Reports of 1926 and 1930 recommended that elementary schools should be divided into primary schools for the under 11s and senior schools for the older children. This resulted in the building of Hobs Road Primary School in 1931, which later became Wood Green Junior School in 1937.

In 2007, it federated with Albert Pritchard Infant School, and in 2015 began a phased expansion to a 3-form entry school, completed in 2021.
