The aim of Geography at APWG is to help children develop a meaningful understanding of diverse places and environments. Through studying their local area and comparing it with regions across the UK and around the world, children gain insight into the connections and contrasts that shape different communities.

Our Geography curriculum enables pupils to engage in purposeful fieldwork, encouraging them to think, act, and communicate like Geographers. We strive to nurture a genuine enthusiasm for the subject while building a secure and extensive knowledge of geographical vocabulary, concepts, and contexts.

It is our intention that Geography lessons at APWG are inspiring, engaging, and enriching, empowering children to achieve their fullest potential as young Geographers. We are confident that all pupils will make strong and sustained progress in Geography throughout their time with us.
